See our events below for more opportunities to get involved and help continue to fund our park maintenance and growth fund. You are welcome to join us anytime, 8am to dusk, all year long! Thanks to a Design and Construction grant from the Stanton Foundation, a generous donation from Worker’s Credit Union, and much support from dog park friends member donations, our park location at Coolidge Park has completed construction and our Grand Opening was held August 26th, 2018 and was a pawsitively pawsome success! Hundreds of dogs, so many vendors, so much fun was had! Please continue to support our efforts by renewing or becoming a member today! We regularly hold fundraisers and events for our dog community as we must continue to maintain our park pick up the trash, provide trash disposal bags and mutt mitts, clean the park, maintain the park (rake the leaves, sweep, clean, fix anything that breaks, etc.), educate the public about the park and park etiquette and fundraise into the future for a suitable surface that is not all mud for our doggies. Our park is open-but the hard work doesn’t stop there.

The Fitchburg Dog Park is open every day and is FREE for everyone to use and enjoy!
This park is an important community asset because of the growing number of residents who have dogs and want a nearby location where they can take them off the leash and let them run and play in a safe environment. We assist with local Therapy Pets organizations, help organize low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics, and host fun community events for our pet parents around the Fitchburg and Leominster Mass area. The Friends of Fitchburg DOGS, Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit that supports regional animal welfare and our dog park in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
